A set of simple bookshelves in oak. These were made to match a previous set of shelves I made the previous year.
Unfortunately, while I had more boards of oak from the same stack I used last time, in that time the thick board for the sides had cupped quite badly. If I reflattened the boards they would have been noticably thinner than the other set of shelves.
Instead of re-flattening the boards and to solve the issue, like a maniac, I did spiled, tapered, sliding dovetails.
A view of how the shelves looks.
